Museum of Contemporary Art
The Museum of Contemporary Art (affectionately known as ‘the MCA’), is located at The Rocks and is open every day of the year except Christmas Day. It runs a range of practical school holiday programs for all age groups. The MCA likes to share their passion for and knowledge of contemporary art with as many people as possible. They employ specially trained Artist Educators to develop a range of learning programs for kids and teens of all ages and abilities. Visitors are encouraged to colour outside the lines, to experiment, play with process and take risks. The Museum’s learning programs acknowledge that every visitor brings their own back story and can leave with their own fresh meaning from their encounter with art.
