Tickety Boo - Present Wrapping Course

During the school holidays, I spent a great morning with Vikki Hurst from Tickety Boo along with a few other girls around my age.  The course taught me how to wrap presents in a beautiful way.  By the end of the session, I could stun a relative or friend, young or old, with my abilities.

When I first arrived at Tickety Boo (Vikki’s house) I was introduced to Vikki and the other girls.  Because it was such a hot day, she said we would be sitting inside in the air conditioning (seemingly the courses are often held outside on her lovely looking deck).  Beside the big dining table we sat around was a bench piled high with beautifully wrapped presents and decorated gift bags. The other girls and I learned from Vikki how to do the basics such as fold a T Shirt properly (I now know how to do this beautifully if I am to give a T shirt as a present but mum shouldn’t get her hopes up that my T shirts will be folded just so in my wardrobe!)  We then got to the fun bit in my opinion - we learnt to make envelopes of different shapes and sizes, square, rectangle, triangle etc and then how to decorate them with bows that we made ourselves.  We also wrapped boxes and learnt how to embellish them with paper flowers (that we also made).

Vikki also showed us a great gift idea to make (and wrap) for mum, gran or perhaps an aunt or teacher but I can’t tell you what that is in case I decide to give it to my mum or gran – and they will both be reading this!  Go to the course yourself and no doubt Vikki will share our secret!

Overall I had a great time and I suggest to everyone from young and old to go as it is a great way to spend a few hours.  I now need to talk my mum into letting me do the Tickety Boo Social Godess course!
