Active Tribes is a fun, friendly, and social program of kids sporting activities that are offered by UQ Sport at a range of venues including UQ St Lucia, the Queensland Tennis Centre. Formally named UQKids, Active Tribes is the fresh and exciting new name which is set to become Brisbane’s favourite junior sport and activity program!
Sports activities to keep your kids busy
Active Tribes programs are suitable for children from the ages of six months, right through to 17 years. A variety of skill and fitness levels are catered for, and all sports are delivered in a fun and supportive environment.

Active Tribes encourages young children and teenagers to develop a lifelong passion for physical activity and sport. But most importantly we believe that sport should be fun, so we make sure kids have an awesome time!
School Holiday Programs
Active Tribes offers a large range of activities both during the school holidays, and caters to juniors of all abilities and fitness levels. With a swim school, athletics, tennis and a variety of multi-sports and recreational activities on offer, children will have the opportunity to develop a range of social and sporting skills in a safe and fun environment every school holidays! UQ Sport has been running holiday sports programs for children for over ten years, recently under the banner of UQKids. In January 2010, Active Tribes will be launched to reflect the variety of kids sport on offer.
